Hamas Welcomes Removal of Tony Blair from Gaza Peace Council

Hamas has expressed its approval of the removal of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair from the Gaza Peace Council. A Hamas leader cited Blair’s alleged pro-Israel bias as the reason for their support.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Hamas has welcomed the removal of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair from the Gaza Peace Council.
Taher al-Nunu, a leader within Hamas, told Al Jazeera that Blair’s removal from the council would be “a step in the right direction.”
Al-Nunu stated that Hamas had requested mediating parties to remove Blair from the Gaza Peace Council due to his perceived support for Israel.
He also added that Hamas is ready for a long-term ceasefire, conditional on the occupiers adhering to the ceasefire agreement.
