According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a commando in the Israeli army reportedly fell asleep during a military operation in the village of Qabatiya, near Jenin, according to Hebrew-language media reports. The soldier was allegedly left behind by his unit in a house within the village.

The report indicates that the soldier woke up without being disturbed and rejoined his unit, which had already left the area.

The Israeli military has launched an internal investigation into the incident within its commando unit, acknowledging the potential dangers of such occurrences.

Military officials described the incident as a failure in command.

Previously, sources within the Israeli army had reported on the increasing use of drugs and alcohol among Israeli soldiers.
