Israeli Settlers Assault, Abduct Palestinian Farmer in West Bank

Armed Israeli settlers assaulted and abducted a Palestinian farmer near Bethlehem in the West Bank, according to reports, while Israeli forces continue restrictive measures against Palestinian farmers in the region.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli military actions in the West Bank continue to escalate, with reports of further violence and property destruction.

Armed Zionist settlers reportedly assaulted and abducted a Palestinian farmer in Nahalin, a town in Bethlehem, located in the southern West Bank.

Separately, sources in southern al-Khalil reported that Israeli soldiers once again prevented Palestinian farmers from accessing and working their agricultural lands in Wadi al-Rakheem, situated in the Masafer Yatta area.

On Tuesday, the occupying Israeli army demolished three residential homes in the Khalla al-Fara area, west of Yatta, south of al-Khalil. Local sources indicated that the homes belonged to three members of the Harb family—Raafat, Thaer, and Issa—who were present during the demolitions.

The owners had previously received demolition notices and filed objections with the Israeli regime’s court, but these efforts failed to halt the demolition order, according to the sources.

The Yatta region, including Masafer Yatta and its surrounding communities, has long faced systematic policies of siege, home demolitions, land confiscation, and settler attacks. Settlers have been known to set homes ablaze, destroy property and agricultural products, and steal land and livestock with the support of occupying military forces.

These actions are part of the Israeli army’s ongoing efforts to alter the demographic composition of the area. Approximately 25 years ago, the Israeli regime initiated a plan to forcibly displace residents from 12 villages in Masafer Yatta, claiming these areas were “military training zones” and uninhabited before 1980—assertions strongly refuted by Palestinian residents, who have provided historical documents and evidence of generations of family presence.
