Russia Blames European ‘Warmongers’ for Blocking Ukraine Diplomatic Solution
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzya, has asserted that European ‘warmongers’ are hindering diplomatic resolutions to the conflict in Ukraine.
Nebenzya stated that the vast majority of Ukrainians do not wish to continue fighting for what he described as a group that has seized power.
He added that the United States is diligently working on realistic proposals for a long-term and sustainable resolution to the conflict.
The Russian envoy affirmed that Moscow would achieve the goals of its special military operation regardless, preferring to do so through diplomatic means, but sees no viable path due to the actions of European nations.
Dimitry Polyanskiy, Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN, previously stated during a Security Council session that European countries supporting Ukraine are undermining joint Russian-American efforts to resolve the crisis.
He accused the President of Ukraine of infringing on the fundamental rights and freedoms of his people to retain power. Polyanskiy further claimed that Zelensky’s European allies are actively trying to undermine peace initiatives proposed by Russia and the United States, fearing the collapse of their anti-Russian project.
He concluded that history would judge them harshly.
