Trump Aims to Resolve Ukraine Crisis by Christmas 2025

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, President Donald Trump hopes to see the Ukraine crisis resolved before Christmas. A report in an English-language newspaper cites sources indicating that Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, have given Volodymyr Zelensky a deadline to respond to a proposed peace agreement.
The U.S. government is allegedly working to create conditions for ending the conflict by the close of 2025 with fresh proposals.
Earlier reports from Axios, citing Ukrainian officials, claimed that Zelensky is facing pressure from the United States to cede territory and other concessions to Russia. Ukrainian officials suggest that the American proposals have become “worse than before” following a five-hour meeting between U.S. negotiators and Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin.
