US Says International Forces Will Not Deploy in Hamas-Controlled Gaza

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a U.S. official, speaking to Al Jazeera, stated that international forces would not be deployed in Hamas-controlled regions within the Gaza Strip.
The official elaborated that the UN Security Council resolution concerning Gaza clearly addresses the withdrawal of Israel from the area as part of the second phase of the agreement.
The U.S. official further noted that despite ongoing challenges, negotiations to advance to the second phase of a Gaza ceasefire agreement have seen progress.
These remarks come after Hamas political bureau member, Hussam Badran, recently stated that discussions about the second phase of the agreement are only meaningful if the occupying regime is compelled to fully implement the terms of the first phase through explicit pressure from mediators, the U.S., and other relevant parties.
Badran emphasized that as long as the occupiers continue to violate their commitments, moving to the second phase is not possible.
