8,000 Syrian Ex-Soldiers Imprisoned in Golan Heights Under Controversial Rule

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Samaher al-Khatib, a Middle East affairs expert, asserts that Syria’s path under the Golan administration, backed by external support, poses significant risks.
Al-Khatib noted the ongoing aggressions and detentions within Syria, transforming the nation into a battleground for international influence.
She stated that the Golan administration’s actions, fueled by alleged racist ideologies, are exacerbating internal divisions and furthering a new partitioning agenda for Syria, allegedly orchestrated with Israeli involvement. Over 8,000 former Syrian military personnel are reportedly held in Golan prisons.
Al-Khatib anticipates heightened public unrest in the coming days, potentially pushing Syria into an irreversible crisis.
