US General to Lead International Force in Gaza Under New Plan

An Israeli official reportedly stated that the presence of an American general at the head of the international forces in Gaza could provide confidence to the Israeli regime.
American officials have claimed they are in the final stages of forming an international stability force and shaping a new governmental structure for Gaza.
The report also indicates that Germany and Italy have been invited to join the international force, referred to as the Peace Council in Gaza.
