6.7 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Northeast Japan, Tsunami Warning Issued

A 6.7 magnitude earthquake struck northeastern Japan on Friday, prompting a tsunami warning. The Japan Meteorological Agency reported the quake’s epicenter was off the coast of Aomori Prefecture.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a 6.7 magnitude earthquake struck northeastern Japan, triggering a tsunami warning. The Japan Meteorological Agency reported the earthquake occurred off the coast of Aomori Prefecture at a depth of 20 kilometers.

The agency has warned of potential tsunami waves reaching up to one meter in height.

This quake follows a 7.5 magnitude earthquake that struck the same region on Monday night, which also resulted in a tsunami warning.
