World Leaders Convene at International Peace and Trust Summit in Turkmenistan
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the International Peace and Trust Conference convened in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, drawing leaders from various nations.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian was joined at the summit by Russian President Vladimir Putin, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and other regional heads of state.
President Pezeshkian addressed the assembly, stating that “the Zionist regime” is pursuing aggressive policies targeting Palestine, Syria, Iran, and Qatar, claiming Israel’s actions against Iran have faced no international repercussions but rather, have received political and military support from those claiming to uphold human rights and global peace.
President Putin remarked that the United Nations is fulfilling its mission honorably and remains a crucial mechanism for balancing global interests.
President Erdogan voiced his hope for an end to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
Referring to developments in Gaza, Erdogan noted breaches of the ceasefire by Israel and urged the international community to reinforce the agreement, emphasizing Palestinian involvement in all stages of peace negotiations to achieve a two-state solution.
The International Peace and Trust Conference was initiated by Turkmenistan during the 78th session of the UN General Assembly. A resolution supporting the conference was endorsed by 86 countries, with the initiative aiming to promote dialogue and collaboration among nations.
