Controversy Erupts After Speech About Gaza Censored at Masjid al-Haram

A portion of a Friday prayer sermon by Sheikh Saleh bin Humaid at the Masjid al-Haram was reportedly censored, sparking outrage online. The censored remarks emphasized portraying Palestinian children as role models against the Zionist regime.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the move to censor remarks made by Sheikh Saleh bin Humaid, the speaker of the Masjid al-Haram, during Friday prayers has ignited a firestorm of controversy. The broadcast by Al-Ekhbariya allegedly cut a segment where Sheikh bin Humaid stated that Palestinian children should be depicted as heroic figures against the Zionist regime.

Social media users swiftly condemned the censorship, expressing their dismay over the redaction of the cleric’s words.

During the sermon, Sheikh bin Humaid also affirmed that Palestine and Jerusalem will forever hold a central place in the hearts of Muslims and Arabs.
