Thailand Continues Military Operations Against Cambodia, Denies Trump Claim

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Thailand has affirmed its commitment to continue military operations against Cambodia, while Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul refuted assertions made by former U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the nature of recent violent incidents.
In a statement posted on Facebook, Charnvirakul emphasized, “We will continue military operations as long as there is a threat to our soil and people.” This declaration comes in response to ongoing conflicts along the 800-kilometer border between Thailand and Cambodia, rooted in long-standing disputes over the ownership of historic temples.
Charnvirakul also addressed the recent claim made by Trump on his social media platform, Truth Social, where Trump suggested that a roadside explosion resulting in casualties among Thai soldiers was “accidental.” The Prime Minister of Thailand firmly denied this, stating that the explosions were definitively not accidental.
Adding to the complexity of the situation, Trump had also claimed that the leaders of Thailand and Cambodia had agreed to halt the shooting and return to a peace agreement. However, the Cambodian Ministry of Defense stated that Thai F-16 fighter jets continue to bomb targets within Cambodian territory, directly contradicting Trump’s statement.
The ongoing conflict has displaced approximately half a million people across both countries and resulted in at least 20 fatalities.
