Deadly Attack on U.S. Troops in Palmyra; American Warplanes Deployed
An attack targeting U.S. forces and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Palmyra has resulted in casualties, prompting the deployment of American fighter jets over the area.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, sources reported a shooting targeting American forces and SDF fighters during a joint patrol in the city of Palmyra. Citing a security source, SANA reported that the shooter was killed.
The security source provided no further details. However, the source confirmed the deaths of two SDF members and injuries to two U.S. soldiers.
Syrian state media Al-Akhbariya reported that U.S. helicopters transferred the wounded to Al-Tanf base. Concurrently, news sources indicated that American warplanes are conducting flights over Palmyra.
