Palestinian Authority Condemns US Ambassador’s Remarks on Settlements

The Palestinian Authority has strongly denounced remarks made by the U.S. Ambassador to the occupied territories regarding Israeli settlement construction in the West Bank, labeling them as unacceptable and against international law.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, the official spokesman for the Palestinian Authority presidency, stated that comments made by U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee regarding settlement activity are rejected and condemned.

He emphasized that any settlement construction is illegal and violates international resolutions. This statement follows remarks by Mike Huckabee downplaying the significance of the Zionist regime’s plans to build 19 new settlements in the West Bank.

Abu Rudeineh asserted that no one can legitimize occupation. He added that if the U.S. government is genuinely serious about stopping violence and tension and achieving comprehensive peace in the region, it must fully adhere to international laws and resolutions.
