Hamas Marks 38th Anniversary, Claims Al-Aqsa Flood Operation as Turning Point

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Hamas marked its 38th anniversary with a statement highlighting the Al-Aqsa Flood operation as a crucial turning point in the Palestinian quest for liberation.
The statement vowed allegiance to the path of fallen leaders and the sacrifices of the Palestinian people until the liberation of their land and holy sites, regardless of the cost.
The anniversary arrives after more than two years of what Hamas describes as brutal aggression, genocide by the Zionist enemy, and unprecedented starvation and destruction against over two million besieged Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. It coincides with systematic Zionist crimes against Palestinians in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, including plans to annex the West Bank, expand settlements, and Judaize the Al-Aqsa Mosque, according to the statement.
Hamas asserted that for two years, Palestinians, united with their courageous resistance, have confronted this aggression with unwavering determination, displaying legendary steadfastness and unmatched heroism. The group commemorated the founding leaders, particularly Martyr Ahmad Yasin, and honored prominent figures such as Ismail Haniyeh, Yahya Sinwar, Saleh al-Arouri, and all martyrs who led the Al-Aqsa Flood operation.
The statement paid tribute to all Palestinian martyrs in Gaza, the West Bank, occupied Jerusalem, the occupied territories of 1948, and refugee camps, as well as the martyrs of the Islamic Ummah. Hamas expressed pride in the steadfastness, courage, sacrifice, and resilience of the Palestinian people, especially in Gaza, which it described as a symbol of dignity, pride, and resistance representing the entire Islamic Ummah. The group also voiced support for Palestinians in the West Bank, Jerusalem, the occupied territories of 1948, and refugee camps.
Hamas affirmed its commitment to its principles, loyalty to its people and prisoners, preservation of values and identity, and defense of Palestinian aspirations. The group emphasized that occupied Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque remain the central point of conflict with Israel, asserting that Israel has no legitimacy or sovereignty over these holy sites and that Judaization and settlement schemes will never erase their true identity. Jerusalem, according to the statement, will remain the eternal capital of Palestine, and the Al-Aqsa Mosque will remain Islamic.
The group condemned crimes against Palestinian prisoners, calling them a sadistic approach and a systematic policy of revenge that turns prisons into killing fields. Hamas reiterated that the freedom of prisoners remains a top national priority, condemned international silence on the issue, and urged the international community and human rights organizations to pressure Israel to stop its aggression against Palestinian prisoners.
The statement highlighted the inalienable national rights of the Palestinians, including the right to resist by all means, in accordance with international laws and humanitarian norms. It called for national unity to confront Israeli plans aimed at destroying the Palestinian national cause and preventing the establishment of an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
Hamas stated that the ongoing genocide and starvation in Gaza, along with violations of the sovereignty of Arab and Islamic countries, demonstrate that the region faces a rogue entity that poses a threat to security and stability and necessitates international action to curb its aggression and end its occupation. The group expressed gratitude to all resistance forces and supporters, calling for unified efforts to support the Palestinian people and their resistance to liberate Palestine and end the occupation.
Hamas expressed appreciation for global solidarity movements and all support for the Palestinian cause, calling for an intensified global movement against Israel and its crimes, and for strengthened solidarity with Palestinian rights to freedom and independence.
