Rabbi Eli Schlanger Killed in Sydney Hanukkah Attack

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, sources report that Rabbi Eli Schlanger was killed and the head of the Australian-Israeli Jewish Council was injured during what is being called a “bloody Hanukkah” celebration in Sydney, Australia.
Israeli media outlets have released additional details regarding the identities of some of the victims involved in the Hanukkah event in Sydney.
Rabbi Eli Schlanger, affiliated with the Chabad group, was reportedly killed in the Sydney attack, while the head of the Australian-Israeli Jewish Council sustained injuries.
Australian media, citing police sources, indicate that one of the armed attackers was killed in a confrontation with law enforcement, and another individual involved in the shooting is receiving medical treatment.
In response to the incident, Tel Aviv’s Foreign Minister Gideon Saar condemned the attack, asserting that it was a result of incitement and anti-Semitic sentiments prevalent in Australian streets over the past two years.
