Al-Julani Condoles Trump After Palmyra Attack, Pledges Solidarity

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Abu Mohammad al-Julani, the self-proclaimed president of Syria, has conveyed his condolences to U.S. President Donald Trump after the deaths of American military personnel in Palmyra.
In his statement, al-Julani expressed sympathy to the families of the victims, condemning the incident and affirming his government’s commitment to maintaining security and enhancing stability in Syria and the region.
The attack, which occurred on Saturday, December 13, 2025, in central Syria’s Palmyra, targeted American and al-Julani’s forces during a joint patrol, resulting in the deaths of two U.S. soldiers and an interpreter.
Trump claimed that the terrorist group ISIS was responsible for the attack and that the Syrian government was not involved.
He vowed to inflict heavy losses on those responsible for the attack.
The U.S. President also emphasized Washington’s determination to respond decisively to any attacks against its forces in the region, according to Webangah News Agency.
