Maduro Vows to Bolster Venezuela’s Defense Strategy Amid Rising Tensions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Nicolás Maduro stated at the 25th Summit of Heads of State of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA) that Venezuela has faced a series of hostile actions in recent weeks, including military threats and the seizure of a vessel carrying Venezuelan oil.
Maduro described these actions as a “complete cutoff of legal and diplomatic routes” in the region, adding that Caracas has been forced to adapt its methods to ensure national security.
The Venezuelan President proposed that ALBA member states adopt a joint strategy to confront current challenges. He characterized this strategy as being based on the “united and long-term resistance of member nations” and a coordinated policy for joint construction and cooperative economic development to benefit all parties involved.
Maduro explained that this approach is designed to strengthen the regional social model, which draws on the liberation thoughts of Latin American leaders and is based on guaranteeing the right to education, health, and social support.
He concluded by emphasizing that the ALBA alliance should serve as an example for defending international law and maintaining regional stability, especially as the world witnesses an “increase in imperialist aggressions.”
