Rabbi Killed in Sydney Attack Called for Continued Gaza Offensive

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a Hebrew-language network revealed that Rabbi Eli Schlanger, who died during the armed assault in Sydney, had traveled to occupied territories and met with Israeli military personnel.
The report indicated that Schlanger encouraged the soldiers to persist in the Gaza conflict and what he termed the “genocide of Palestinians.” Over the past two years of the Gaza war, more than 70,000 Palestinians have reportedly been killed and 171,000 injured, predominantly women and children.
The attack in Sydney targeted a Jewish Hanukkah celebration, resulting in at least 16 fatalities and numerous injuries.
Schlanger represented the Chabad movement in Australia, an organization that does not recognize the rights of Palestinians under occupation and openly supported what was described as Israeli child killers.
