Gunmen Attack Hayat Tahrir al-Sham Forces in Western Aleppo
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, unidentified gunmen on motorcycles attacked Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) forces in the western Aleppo countryside.
The attack targeted HTS forces in the vicinity of Darat Izza and along the connecting road between the city and Deir Semaan in the western Aleppo countryside. Preliminary reports indicate that one HTS member was wounded in the ambush.
The black-clad assailants reportedly fled towards the north following the attack. This incident follows a previous attack in Maarat al-Numan in the southern Idlib countryside, where at least four HTS members were killed.
Syria‘s Interior Ministry reported that the earlier attack also resulted in injuries to another HTS member. Security forces have initiated operations to search the area and apprehend the perpetrators.
Recently, an attack also targeted American soldiers in Palmyra, Syria, resulting in deaths and injuries. Armed clashes and internal tensions persist in Syria since the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad’s regime.
