Hamas Warns of Escalating Humanitarian Crisis in Gaza Amidst Harsh Weather

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem stated that the flooding of tents and shelters, along with child fatalities from the cold, are the direct results of the continued siege and the prevention of adequate shelter provision.
Qassem highlighted that the delivery of less than 10% of the agreed-upon fuel and a severe shortage of heating equipment have critically worsened the situation.
He emphasized that the amount of shelter arriving in Gaza is wholly insufficient, and the tents lack the capacity to withstand current weather conditions, posing a life-threatening situation with each cold wave.
Qassem described the events unfolding in Gaza as a continuation of the ongoing genocidal war. He stated that although bombings have decreased, killings persist through drowning and the deaths of children due to the cold.
The Hamas spokesman urged immediate action from mediators and countries guaranteeing the Sharm el-Sheikh agreement to facilitate the substantial entry of shelters, including prefabricated homes, and to immediately commence the reconstruction of Gaza.
