Hamas Leader Alleges Over 813 Ceasefire Violations by Israel in Gaza

A senior Hamas leader, Ghazi Hamad, has accused Israel of violating the Gaza ceasefire agreement more than 813 times, undermining the accord and exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the region. Hamad called on mediators to intervene and hold Israel accountable for its alleged breaches of the truce.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a Hamas leader, Ghazi Hamad, has stated that Israel has violated the Gaza ceasefire over 813 times since it took effect. Speaking to Al Jazeera, Hamad claimed that Israel has altered the terms of the agreement, violating every clause and manipulating its implementation.

Hamad emphasized that mediators have explicitly stated that Hamas has not violated the agreement and has fully adhered to its terms. He asserted that the repeated violations by Israel indicate pre-planning and a decision made at the government level. These violations include killings, field executions, shootings of citizens, bombings of various areas, and targeted assassinations, according to Hamad.

He noted that Israeli forces have transgressed the “yellow line” by significant distances, sometimes up to two kilometers. Since the agreement came into effect, Hamad stated that there have been more than 813 violations by Israel, averaging 25 violations per day. He affirmed that Hamas has provided detailed and documented reports of all these incidents to the mediators and the joint committee monitoring the agreement’s implementation.

Warning of the consequences of continued violations of the ceasefire by Israel, Hamad stressed that these blatant violations threaten the agreement and could lead to its collapse. He urged immediate action by mediators to restrain Israel from further breaches of the ceasefire, stating that it is their responsibility to ensure Israel adheres to its commitments.

Hamad also reported that Israel has not adhered to the previous agreement to form a committee to address violations, and despite the agreement, Israel has failed to fulfill this commitment. Highlighting the human cost of the ceasefire violations, he stated that approximately 400 people have been killed since the start of the agreement, with over 95% being civilians.

According to Hamad, the agreement stipulates that Israel is not allowed to target resistance forces during the ceasefire. He claims that Israel has not presented any credible evidence to support its allegations of targeting resistance forces. Hamad further detailed that the demolition of residential homes continues daily, with 145 homes completely destroyed by Israeli forces. Since the start of the ceasefire, 392 bombings and military targeting operations have been recorded, demonstrating Israel’s complete disregard for the agreement.

Addressing the situation at the Rafah crossing, Hamad stated that it has remained closed since the agreement’s implementation, preventing the exit of patients and humanitarian cases, which he described as a clear violation of humanitarian and international obligations. He added that Israel has prevented the entry of a significant portion of aid under the pretext of dual-use concerns. Extensive restrictions are also imposed on aid entry, and there is deliberate delay and manipulation in the entry of fuel and gas.

Hamad concluded that these actions demonstrate an organized effort by Israel to maintain pressure, exacerbate the humanitarian crisis, and nullify the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, according to Webangah News Agency.
