Bolivia Flood Crisis: Presidential Crisis Room Activated After 20 Deaths

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Bolivian authorities are grappling with a severe flood crisis in the Santa Cruz region following torrential rains. The government has activated a crisis room in the presidential palace to coordinate relief efforts.

Alfredo Torrico, the Deputy Minister of Civil Defense, confirmed that at least 20 people have died due to the floods that have impacted the region since last weekend. A significant number of individuals remain missing, prompting ongoing search and rescue operations.

President Rodrigo Paz announced the establishment of the crisis room to closely monitor and manage the unfolding situation, emphasizing the government’s commitment to addressing the needs of those affected. Search and rescue operations are continuing without interruption in the affected areas.
