China Calls West Bank Settlements Illegal, Urges Gaza Ceasefire
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, China has voiced strong concerns regarding the ongoing situation in Palestine during a session of the United Nations Security Council. The Chinese representative emphasized the urgent need for a ceasefire in Gaza and called upon all involved parties, particularly Israel, to uphold their obligations.
The representative further stated that Israel must assume its responsibilities by fully opening border crossings to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to the affected population.
Addressing the issue of West Bank settlements, China unequivocally stated that settlement activities are illegal and undermine the prospects for a two-state solution. China also asserted that any agreement concerning the future of Gaza must be based on the principle of Palestinian self-determination.
