The potential visit is framed within the context of ongoing bilateral relations and is in response to an official invitation. However, no specific date has been set for the visit.

Vladimir Putin’s last visit to Turkey was in January 2020, when he and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan jointly inaugurated the TurkStream gas pipeline in Istanbul.

Although a visit was planned for 2023, it did not materialize, and communication has primarily occurred through international summits and telephone conversations.
