Rome and Berlin Warn: Gaza Aid Must Arrive Before Winter

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, in a joint statement following discussions between Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani and his German counterpart, Johann Fadeifol, both countries reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening and revitalizing the process of delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza.
The statement also endorsed the peace plan presented by U.S. President Donald Trump, which has been approved by the Security Council and emphasizes the need to resume unhindered humanitarian assistance.
Both parties announced their intention to establish a joint platform to coordinate efforts between the private sector and civil society, highlighting the pivotal role of the United Nations and non-governmental organizations in effectively responding to the humanitarian crisis.
The United Nations warned on Monday that the Zionist regime continues to impede the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza, and that the severe winter weather has increased the risk of death for newborns due to the cold.
Despite a ceasefire established on October 10th, living conditions in Gaza have not improved, and severe restrictions imposed by the Zionist regime on the entry of aid trucks persist.
The two-year conflict, which began on October 8, 2023, has resulted in over 70,000 fatalities, 171,000 injuries, and the destruction of 90 percent of civilian infrastructure. Initial damage estimates from the war are approximately $70 billion.
