Trump Claims He Will Always Be a ‘Friend and Hero’ to Jewish People

Donald Trump, the current President of the United States, stated at a White House Hanukkah celebration that he will always remain a friend and hero to the Jewish community. He also suggested that the U.S. Congress is becoming anti-Semitic.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, President Donald Trump addressed guests at a Hanukkah celebration held at the White House, asserting his unwavering support for the Jewish people.

Trump remarked that the U.S. Congress is exhibiting increasing anti-Semitism, attributing this to the declining influence of the Jewish lobby in Washington. According to the Times of Israel, Trump initially referred to Congress generally, but then directed blame toward progressive Democrats supportive of Palestine.

The President recounted that his father had always emphasized the Jewish and Israeli lobby as the most powerful in the country, but claimed this is no longer the case. Trump lamented the terrorist attack against Jewish individuals during a Hanukkah celebration in Australia, emphasizing the need for global unity against extremist forces.

Mark Levin, who hosted the Hanukkah event at the White House, lauded Trump as “the first Jewish President of the United States.”

Trump also invited Miriam Adelson, a prominent Zionist financier and Republican Party supporter, to speak, humorously noting that $250 million doesn’t have the purchasing power it once did. Adelson conveyed to the audience that she had discussed with Alan Dershowitz, a well-known legal expert, who suggested that a third presidential term for Trump is legally feasible.
