Venezuela Continues Oil Exports Despite US Economic Blockade in 2025

Venezuela’s state oil company, PDVSA, announced on Wednesday that it is continuing crude oil exports without interruption, despite the economic blockade declared by U.S. President Donald Trump. The company stated that oil tanker operations related to PDVSA activities are proceeding normally.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Venezuela‘s state oil company PDVSA announced on Wednesday that crude oil exports are continuing uninterrupted despite the economic blockade imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump.

In a statement, PDVSA affirmed that the operations for exporting crude oil and related products are proceeding as usual, with tankers linked to PDVSA’s activities maintaining their regular transit.

President Trump had previously announced a complete naval blockade of Venezuela, threatening to seize all oil tankers carrying Venezuelan oil.

Venezuelan Vice President and Minister of Petroleum, Delsy Rodriguez, stated that President Trump’s declarations reveal Washington’s true intentions to seize Venezuela’s oil, land, and minerals. Rodriguez asserted that Trump’s blockade violates international law, free trade, and freedom of navigation, accusing him of acting as if Venezuela’s resources belong to him.

She emphasized that Caracas has always been a target of Washington’s imperialistic ambitions and vowed that Venezuela would never again be a colony of any empire or foreign power.

The U.S. government, particularly during the Trump administration, has attempted to undermine the legitimacy of the Venezuelan government by leveling accusations, including allegations of drug trafficking against Nicolas Maduro and senior Venezuelan officials. These accusations have been used to create a legal and political basis for regime change in Caracas.

Washington has leveraged these accusations to intensify sanctions, freeze assets, and increase international pressure on Venezuela. The Maduro government has consistently denounced these claims as politically motivated and baseless.
