Venezuela Rejects Trump’s Threats, Vows to Continue Oil Exports

Venezuela’s Defense Minister, Vladimir Padrino López, has stated that the Venezuelan army will not be intimidated by threats from Donald Trump. The state oil company, PDVSA, also affirmed it would continue exporting crude oil despite the U.S. President’s threats of economic blockade.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Venezuela‘s Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino López has responded to Donald Trump’s threats against Venezuela, stating that they endanger the stability of Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as global energy stability.

The Defense Minister emphasized that the Venezuelan army would not be intimidated by Trump’s threats.

PDVSA announced hours earlier that the country would continue exporting crude oil without interruption, despite President Trump’s announcement of an economic blockade. In a statement, PDVSA affirmed that crude oil and by-product export operations are proceeding normally. Tankers associated with PDVSA’s activities continue to move without disruption.

President Trump had previously announced a complete naval blockade of Venezuela, declaring that all tankers carrying the country’s oil would be subject to seizure.
