Russia’s FSB Foils Ukraine-Planned Terrorist Attack, Arrests Suicide Bomber

The Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia announced on Thursday that it has successfully thwarted a terrorist attack orchestrated by Ukraine in the Rostov region. Security forces apprehended a female suicide bomber just minutes before she was set to deliver a bomb-laden backpack to a municipal official in Volgodonsk.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the FSB reported that the planned terrorist act was to occur in Volgodonsk, located in the Rostov region of southern Russia. The female student was arrested a mere half-hour before she was scheduled to hand over a backpack containing explosives to an official inside the city administration building.
The FSB detailed that the bomb was intended to be detonated in a location with a large public gathering.
