Infant Dies of Cold in Gaza Amidst Continued Blockade and Winter Conditions

A Palestinian infant has died in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza Strip, due to severe cold, bringing the total number of cold-related deaths in Gaza to 13 amid an ongoing blockade. The lack of heating and shelter exacerbate the dire humanitarian situation.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a baby has died in the southern Gaza Strip city of Khan Yunis due to the intense cold, as reported by the Ministry of Health in Gaza. This incident raises the total number of fatalities caused by the cold wave in Gaza, under blockade, to 13.

Continuous rainfall, severe cold, and a lack of heating resources are pushing the humanitarian situation in Gaza to a critical point, especially among displaced people living in tents and damaged homes.

The Gaza Strip is grappling with a severe humanitarian crisis, intensified by the ongoing comprehensive blockade and attacks by the Zionist regime. This crisis is further compounded by shortages of fuel, electricity, warm clothing, and adequate shelter.

Aid organizations have repeatedly warned about the vulnerability of displaced people, particularly children and infants, to the winter cold. They stress that preventing the entry of essential supplies is a major factor in the increasing number of civilian casualties during adverse weather conditions.

The Gaza Ministry of Health reports that approximately 395 people have been martyred, 1,088 injured, and 634 recovered from under the rubble since the announcement of a ceasefire on October 11, 2025.

Including the new figures, the total number of martyrs from the Zionist regime’s aggression against the Gaza Strip following the Al-Aqsa Storm battle has risen to approximately 70,669, with 1,171,165 injured.
