Zelensky Hails EU’s $90 Billion Loan Promise as Historic

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine expressed his enthusiasm following the European Union’s recent pledge to provide Kyiv with a $90 billion loan.
Zelensky characterized the EU’s decision to support Ukraine as a ‘historic’ move. He stated that this action by Europe provides guarantees should the conflict with Russia continue.
The Ukrainian President asserted that Russia should bear the financial burden of the war against Ukraine, claiming that Moscow would gain influence in Europe if Ukraine’s sovereignty were to fail.
Leaders from EU member states reached an agreement on Friday to extend a 90 billion euro loan to Ukraine, designed to address the country’s looming budget shortfall. However, they did not reach a consensus on utilizing frozen Russian assets to finance these resources.
