Taiwan Subway Attack: 3 Killed, Several Wounded in Taipei
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a man wielding a knife and throwing a smoke grenade at a subway station in Taiwan resulted in three fatalities and multiple injuries on Friday.
The incident occurred at a busy railway hub in Taipei, Taiwan. TVBS News reported that the smoke grenade detonated inside the station, killing a 57-year-old man.
Local media identified the second victim as a 57-year-old man who attempted to stop the attacker, hailing him as a “hero victim.” The suspect, identified with the family name Chang, is a 27-year-old man reportedly wanted for evading military service.
Of the injured, one is reported to be in critical condition.
Russia Today reported that the death toll has reached three.
