US Imposes New Sanctions on Venezuelan Individuals

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the United States has imposed further sanctions on Venezuela, targeting individuals linked to the Maduro administration.
Washington’s escalating measures against Nicolás Maduro’s government are part of a broader strategy aimed at containing Venezuela and weakening its economic and oil capabilities. The U.S. has recently amplified its on-the-ground actions, including targeting vessels and seizing shipments associated with Venezuela, in an attempt to obstruct avenues for circumventing sanctions.
These actions are designed to increase political, economic, and operational pressure on the Maduro government.
Despite the increased pressure, the U.S. has not made any formal decisions to engage in direct military conflict with Venezuela, largely maintaining the military option as a deterrent. Washington prefers a combination of sanctions, political pressure, limited operations, and support for internal opposition to pressure the Maduro government while avoiding a costly regional conflict.
