UN Special Rapporteur Accuses Cairo of Supporting Genocide Against Palestinians

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Francesca Albanese, the United Nations Special Rapporteur, has sharply criticized Egypt’s recent $35 billion gas agreement with Israel, describing it as a blatant violation of international law and a shocking show of support for Tel Aviv’s actions in Gaza. Albanese stated that Cairo’s deal with Israel undermines human rights and effectively endorses the ongoing violence against Palestinians.
Albanese emphasized that the agreement, the largest in Israel’s history, represents a clear prioritization of economic interests over humanitarian values. She urged nations to refrain from placing financial gains above human rights principles.
This is not the first time Albanese has taken a strong stance against international support for Israel. In May, she called for legal action against top EU officials, including European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, accusing them of complicity in Israel’s alleged war crimes during its military operations in Gaza.
