Afghanistan and India Emphasize Expansion of Health Cooperation

Afghan Health Minister Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalalai and Indian Environment Minister Karti Vardhan Singh met in New Delhi, pledging to enhance collaboration in medical training and long-term drug supply.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Afghanistan and India have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation in the health sector. During an official visit to India, Afghan Health Minister Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalalai held discussions with Indian Environment Minister Karti Vardhan Singh, focusing on expanding partnerships in healthcare education and sustainable pharmaceutical supplies.

The Afghan minister highlighted the significance of collaboration with India in sharing expertise and building scientific capacity, stating that such exchanges could play a vital role in improving public health and disease prevention. Minister Singh emphasized India’s readiness to support Kabul across all aspects of healthcare, underscoring comprehensive cooperation between the two nations.

This development follows a period of heightened tensions between Kabul and Islamabad, during which Afghanistan-India relations have seen growth across multiple sectors.
