Senior First-Generation ISIS Member Captured in Iraq

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a high-ranking member of the Islamic State’s first generation was apprehended during a security operation in northern Fallujah. An Anbar-based security source confirmed that the Al-Maalomah news agency reported the arrest following coordinated efforts by Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) in the Al-Saqalawiyah area.
The detained terrorist, identified as a key figure within ISIS‘s organizational structure, had been using forged identity documents to facilitate movement across the region. Security officials revealed the suspect’s direct involvement in multiple attacks against Iraqi security forces throughout Anbar province.
PMF units conducted targeted operations across multiple locations north of Fallujah before capturing the wanted individual. The arrest marks a significant development in Iraq’s ongoing counterterrorism operations against remaining ISIS elements.
