Israeli Military Expands Operations in Southern Syria Amid Continued Tensions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Syrian sources have reported increased Israeli military activity in southern Syria, with occupation forces entering several villages near Quneitra. Syrian network Al-Akhbariya cited eyewitnesses confirming that Israeli troops, accompanied by five military vehicles, entered the villages of Sayyida Al-Hanout and Sayyida in the southern outskirts of Quneitra.
This follows similar incursions the previous day, when Israeli forces reportedly entered the village of Al-Ajraf with four military vehicles and set up a checkpoint in the area. Al-Akhbariya also reported Israeli military patrols in the village of Ain Ziwan, where additional checkpoints were established to inspect passersby.
Since the fall of Syria’s previous government, the Israeli regime has intensified attacks on Syrian territory, including recent airstrikes on Damascus under the pretext of protecting Druze communities. The Israeli army has also expanded its occupation of areas near the Golan Heights in Daraa and Quneitra provinces, crossing the buffer zone between the occupied Golan and Syria.
