Israeli Security Cabinet Approves Construction of 19 New West Bank Settlements

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Israeli security cabinet approved the construction of 19 new settlements in the West Bank on Sunday. This decision, proposed by Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and War Minister Yisrael Katz, marks a significant expansion of Israeli settlements in the contested territory.
With this approval, the total number of settlements organized over the past three years has reached 69. Smotrich took to social media platform X to justify the move, stating it aims to prevent the formation of what he called a ‘terrorist Palestinian state’ and to continue building in what he referred to as ‘ancestral land.’
The plan includes reinstating the Ganei Akiva and Kadumim settlements into the official settlement map, alongside other new West Bank settlements. Smotrich claimed that organizing 69 settlements in three years sets a record and vowed to continue development and construction in the region, asserting faith in the righteousness of this path.
