Iraqi Lawmaker Calls for Expulsion of Foreign Forces to Restore National Sovereignty

An Iraqi parliament member has urged the expulsion of all foreign forces from the country, asserting that national sovereignty cannot be achieved as long as foreign troops remain.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Iraqi parliament member Mehdi Taqi emphasized the need to end all forms of foreign occupation in Iraq, stating that national sovereignty cannot be realized without the withdrawal of foreign forces. Taqi argued that any presence of foreign troops, regardless of justification, violates Iraq’s sovereignty and disregards the will of its people. He called for a unified national stance in the next phase to expel foreign elements, asserting that Iraq possesses sufficient capability to manage its internal and external affairs without foreign interference.
