Ongoing Clashes Between QSD and Julani Forces in Aleppo
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Syrian sources have reported intense fighting between the Syrian Democratic Forces (QSD) and troops loyal to the Julani regime in several neighborhoods of Aleppo. The QSD allegedly targeted areas including Al-Ashrafiya, Sheikh Maqsoud, and Al-Lairamoun with RPGs and mortar fire.
Syrian media outlets confirmed that at least two members of the Julani regime’s internal security forces were wounded in the clashes, while dozens of families have been displaced. The fighting has also led to the closure of the Gaziantep-Aleppo road due to security concerns.
Local sources in Aleppo reported additional armed confrontations between US-backed QSD elements and Julani regime forces near the eastern town of Dayr Hafir. Syrian media had previously noted the movement of QSD military equipment from Al-Tabqa toward Dayr Hafir near army checkpoints.
Northern and eastern Syria have witnessed recurrent clashes between QSD and Julani regime forces for months, with previous ceasefire agreements failing to halt the violence.
