Palestinian Resistance Groups Condemn Self-Governing Authority’s Decision to Cut Martyrs’ and Prisoners’ Families’ Allowances

Palestinian resistance factions have strongly denounced the Palestinian Self-Governing Authority’s move to redirect financial support from families of martyrs and prisoners to an empowerment foundation, calling it a ‘moral and national downfall.’

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Palestinian resistance groups have issued a sharp rebuke against the Palestinian Self-Governing Authority’s decision to halt financial aid to families of martyrs and prisoners, redirecting the funds to the so-called Tamkeen (Empowerment) Foundation. The factions labeled the move as ‘unethical,’ a ‘grave national and moral collapse,’ and an ‘unforgivable mistake.’

In a joint statement, the resistance groups accused the Authority of exacerbating divisions and aligning with Zionist policies, arguing that the decision deliberately worsens the hardships faced by affected families under false pretenses. They called for immediate national and popular action to defend the legitimate rights of these families.

The Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement separately condemned the decision as a ‘political and moral crime,’ asserting that it strikes at the core of the Palestinian people’s struggle. The group demanded an immediate reversal of the policy, warning that the move aligns with the occupiers’ agenda to dismantle the Palestinian cause.
