Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq Rejects Disarmament, Vows Continued Resistance

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq has firmly rejected any possibility of disarmament, with its military spokesman Javad al-Talibawi stating the group’s resistance is non-negotiable. In a statement, al-Talibawi asserted that their culture leaves no room for surrendering weapons, abandoning resistance, or ignoring enemy conspiracies against them.
He emphasized this position is neither a political issue nor a negotiable clause, but rather a belief rooted in sovereignty that guarantees independent decision-making and serves as a shield of dignity. “This cannot be broken by pressure or bargained through dictates,” al-Talibawi declared, warning that anyone thinking otherwise does not understand the group.
The spokesman reiterated their constant readiness to defend the homeland and sacrifice lives for Iraq, while also claiming the group is working toward a strong Iraq and successful government. This statement comes as Iraq’s Shiite Coordination Framework reaffirmed its support for restricting arms to the state through a comprehensive national plan during its 255th periodic meeting.
