Explosions Reported in Quneitra Amid Israeli Helicopter Activity

Syrian sources report Israeli military incursions and explosions in Quneitra, as tensions escalate in southern Syria.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Syrian forces have reported continued Israeli military incursions in the outskirts of Quneitra in southern Syria. Sources indicate that Israeli troops, consisting of seven military vehicles, entered the village of Saida and patrolled the Al-Maqar area.

Additionally, Israeli soldiers were reported in the villages of Al-Hanout Al-Maqar and Saida before moving towards Tal Abu Qantar in Quneitra province. Earlier, Israeli forces had entered the villages of Al-Samadaniyah, Bir Ajam, and Bariqa in the Quneitra countryside.

Syrian sources also confirmed Israeli military patrols in the area between the villages of Maariyah and Abidin in Daraa’s outskirts. Meanwhile, the Al-Akhbariya Syria network reported explosions heard in Quneitra coinciding with the flight of Israeli helicopters over the northern outskirts of the province.

Since the fall of the previous Syrian regime, Israel has intensified its attacks on Syria, including recent bombings in Damascus under the pretext of supporting the Druze community. Following the collapse of Bashar al-Assad’s government, Israeli forces have crossed the buffer zone between the occupied Golan Heights and Syria, expanding their presence in areas near the Golan in Daraa and Quneitra provinces.
