Yemen’s Sanaa Government Announces Major Prisoner Swap Deal Including Saudi and Sudanese Detainees

Yemen’s Sanaa government has finalized a prisoner exchange agreement involving 1,700 detainees, including seven Saudis and 23 Sudanese, in return for 1,200 prisoners held by the opposing side.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Abdulqader Al-Murtada, head of the Prisoners’ Committee of Yemen‘s Sanaa government, announced the successful conclusion of negotiations for a major prisoner exchange. Al-Murtada stated that an agreement had been reached with the opposing side to implement the swap, which will involve 1,700 detainees from their side in exchange for 1,200 prisoners, including seven Saudis and 23 Sudanese. The official praised Oman’s efforts in hosting and facilitating the negotiations, expressing gratitude for the Sultanate’s extensive contributions to the success of the talks.
