BRICS+ New Year Festival Highlights Youth Entrepreneurship and Innovation

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the ‘Cultural Bridges’ New Year Festival, held at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA), emphasized the role of youth entrepreneurship and innovation in the BRICS+ space. The event gathered students from the Institute of Public Administration and Civil Service (IPACS) at RANEPA, alongside Russian and international experts.
Key speakers included business community representatives from Nigeria, the Philippines, Egypt, Iran, Indonesia, and Russia. Discussions centered on successful youth entrepreneurship experiences in BRICS+ countries, covering sectors like energy technologies, digitalization, and creative industries, while mapping pathways for future business collaboration.
Elena Galibina, a member of the Russian Federation Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the session moderator, stressed the importance of young innovators in addressing tomorrow’s challenges and shaping the shared economic framework of BRICS. She noted that outcomes from the forum could evolve into startups and, eventually, multinational corporations strengthening economic governance.
Egypt’s Ayd Mohsen Ayd Awad, Vice President of the Global New Media Association, proposed an integrated educational system and mutual recognition of academic credentials among BRICS nations to enhance ties. Meanwhile, Lyudmila Varfolomeyeva, an expert at the Russian Academy of Sciences, highlighted leapfrog technologies with an environmental focus.
Lubarto Sartoyo, head of the Southeast Asia Business Structures and Entrepreneurs Coalition, analyzed Russia-Indonesia trade and cultural relations. Participants also explored youth roles in innovation ecosystems, practical business collaboration, and forging professional connections among regional studies students, young entrepreneurs, and experts.
