Zelensky Claims Progress in Security Guarantee Talks for Ukraine Amid Russian Attacks

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced constructive negotiations with Trump’s envoys on security guarantees, as Russia’s attacks on Kyiv leave casualties.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated on Tuesday that Ukrainian negotiators had productive discussions with representatives of President Donald Trump (Vitecaf and Kushner), resulting in a draft document on security guarantees for Ukraine, improved conditions, and a peace framework. Zelensky also claimed that Russian shelling of Kyiv and other regions killed three people and injured several others, calling the timing of the attack a clear indicator of Moscow’s priorities. Notably, Zelensky’s presidential term ended on May 20, 2024, but Kyiv has postponed elections citing the ongoing martial law.
