Venezuela Warns Trinidad and Tobago Over Allowing Military Use of Its Airports by US
Venezuela’s Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello has issued a stern warning to Trinidad and Tobago regarding its airports being used by the US for potential actions against Caracas, emphasizing that Venezuela will respond if its sovereignty is threatened.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Venezuela has issued a direct warning to Trinidad and Tobago over reports that the latter plans to allow US military aircraft to use its airports, potentially for operations targeting Caracas. Diosdado Cabello, Venezuela’s Interior Minister, stated that any such move would compel Venezuela to respond.
Cabello emphasized that granting the US access to Trinidadian soil for hostile actions against Venezuela would be met with a decisive reaction. The warning comes after Trinidad and Tobago’s government confirmed its intention to permit US military planes to utilize its airports in the coming weeks.
