Hamas Condemns Israeli War Minister’s Apartheid Remarks on Gaza

Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem denounced Israeli War Minister Yisrael Katz’s statements on maintaining presence in Gaza and establishing settlements, calling them a blatant violation of the ceasefire and the Trump peace plan.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Hazem Qassem, the spokesperson for the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), responded on Tuesday to the statements made by the Israeli War Minister, labeling them as a clear violation of the ceasefire and the Trump administration’s peace proposal.

Qassem stated that Yisrael Katz’s remarks regarding the occupying regime’s decision to remain in Gaza and establish settlement hubs in the northern part of the region blatantly breach the ceasefire agreement.

He emphasized that these statements reveal the regime’s ongoing plans to expel Palestinians from their lands and homes. Additionally, Qassem noted that the comments starkly contradict the Trump peace plan for Gaza and the broader region.

Earlier, Yisrael Katz had claimed that Tel Aviv would never withdraw from Gaza and would instead establish new military outposts in the north, replacing settlements evacuated during the 2005 disengagement. Katz asserted that the move would be carried out ‘correctly and at the right time,’ despite potential objections.
