Israeli Think Tank Warns of Economic ‘Time Bomb’ from October 7 Trauma

A Zionist regime research center has warned that psychological damage from the October 7 attacks and subsequent wars poses a long-term economic threat, estimating costs could reach 500 billion shekels over five years.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Zionist regime’s NATAL Center has issued a stark warning about the economic consequences of psychological trauma stemming from the October 7 events and ongoing conflicts. Their report describes the situation as an economic “time bomb” that threatens human capital and sustainable growth for years to come.

The think tank estimates Tel Aviv will face staggering costs of approximately 500 billion shekels (equivalent to $160 billion) over a five-year period. These costs encompass both direct and indirect expenses resulting from the psychological aftermath of recent events.

The report notes that most of these costs won’t appear immediately in cabinet budgets, but will gradually manifest through deteriorating human capital, reduced productivity, and increased rates of illness, violence, and addiction – all of which will have devastating effects on the economy.
